Most frequent questions and answers
Whether or not a designer is a good fit for your project can have several different factors including styles, your budget vs. a designer’s fees as well as a designer’s availability for your time-frame. Taking time to review a creative’s portfolio can aid in determining if their style is right for your project.
There is an initial inquiry, followed by the Project Qualifying Questionnaire which s a few short questions to gather pertinent information, get a sense of your objectives, gauge your level of commitment to a project and to see if we may be a good fit moving forward. Upon assessment of the information provided, it will determine whether we will move forward with a consultation.
Initial consultations are complimentary, 30 minutes long and completed by phone. Should your requirements exceed that, then a “Discovery Session”, which is billable, may need to be scheduled to better diagnose.
If we determine that we are a good fit, then an estimate of the services to be provided for the project is put forth. Upon agreement of the estimate, a contract is drawn up outlining the scope of work and project details. This time frame can vary – but generally 7-10 days.
When we give our estimates on how long any given project will take, we always over-estimate. This way there is no disappointment if we end up taking extra time, because we already factored it in, and if we get done sooner the client has a pleasant surprise. You can be confident that we will get the work done in the time we bid.
Seriously, how long? Typically, a brand identity project can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks from initial meetings to a first brand identity presentation. After revisions, edits and tweaks, you may be looking at another 2-3 weeks depending on the changes for another presentation. Once you have selected an official brand design, it may take an additional week to finalize your logo into a brand identity style guide for the future of your business.
